🗓️ On 20.12.2024, we conducted a workshop titled The Power of Democracy – On the Verge Between Respecting and Breaking the Law as part of the Youth Leaders’ Hub from the project ''Do You Know Your Democracy?''

💡 This interactive session challenged participants to explore the complexities of democracy and the fine balance between upholding democratic principles while navigating controversial legal and ethical issues.

🎯 The workshop began with a 30-minute quiz covering global perspectives on controversial topics. Through this activity, participants discussed varying legal frameworks and democratic principles worldwide.

🌍 Using the World Café method, participants delved deeper into these topics by rotating among discussion tables, each focusing on a specific theme. Conversations unpacked the ethical and legal dimensions of these debates, exploring questions such as:

- Can breaking the law ever be justified in a democratic society?

- How do legal boundaries challenge or uphold democratic ideals?

📊 Key reflections and conclusions were shared during a gallery walk, where participants reviewed and discussed charted insights from each table.

🗣️ This workshop emphasized the need for dialogue, understanding diverse perspectives, and engaging in respectful debates to strengthen democratic integrity.
