Meeting the Political System in the World and Its Influence Over Democracy

🗓️ On 13.02.2025, we held a workshop titled "Meeting the Political System in the World and Its Influence Over Democracy" as part of the Youth Leaders’ Hub from the project "Do You Know Your Democracy?"

💡 This educational session provided a deep dive into major global political systems comparing them between each other with other models in Europe.

🎯 Participants engaged in a detailed analysis of how different political systems impact democratic values. The workshop began with an icebreaker, leading into a discussion about democracy's definition and an overview of various political systems.

🌍 The session included detailed examinations of the U.S. political system, emphasizing its features like separation of powers, checks and balances, and the electoral process. Comparisons were drawn with the parliamentary and semi-presidential systems of countries like the UK and France, as well as one-party systems. 📊 Group activities created a collaborative environment where participants debated the strengths and weaknesses of these systems and deliberated on which model best protects democracy.

🗣️ A concluding debate allowed participants to articulate their views, challenging each other's opinions and refining their understanding of political systems' roles in shaping democratic governance.
